A Tale of An iPhone Case

It’s absolute that iPhone cases are optional for everyone.
There are some people who prefer their iPhone without case, or even without a screen guard. Rather they’re smart, or dumb.

But though people like me who just don’t like cases, they - we, actually we don’t want our precious iPhone to have a scratch, or even a ding.

“iPhones are well designed, they won’t scratch” the quote is true. Nevertheless, the ‘iPhones’ it was mentioning was the normal iPhones that are used by people who take care of their iPhones.

But people like me, we don’t have that much time to take care our iPhones - literally, indeed.

I’m not the one who wipe dust off the sides, but i still do protect my iPhone.
But shit happens. Now i got a ding and so many scratches on the side! Not on the back plate; because i used and am using a front and back screen protector.

So the introduction is off!
Let’s get to the main topic.

I have used a soft jacket throughout my iPhone 5’s first and second week.
But then i took it off and rolled naked. Then i got the dings and scratches.

I searched for a bumper that only cover the sides! That’s it!
I don’t want to add anything on the side - it’s miserable enough!

So i bought this Element Case’ iPhone 5 Bumper for $130 - it’s a LOT!

And now, i haven’t taken them off.

So don’t wait until your iPhone got scratches, get a case!
But i prefer rolling naked, if i got bored with this pricey bumper…

Tips after getting a new iPhone

Whether you are getting a brand new iPhone or an used iPhone it doesn’t really matter anyway, you might want to take a look on some tips i have experienced myself and written here. In fact, this article is about the time after you bought the iPhone, not how to buy the right iPhone. Enjoy!

1. Jailbreak! Why jailbreak? Because jailbreak solved 90% of 100% iPhone limited ability. For example, you can’t directly erase a contact through the list, you need to select it, press edit button and delete it one by one. It’s a pain in the ass. If your iPhone has been jailbroken, you may want to check and delete some useless package (that was installed by the former user) to clear some space and make your iPhone faster.

2. Register for Apple ID and Set Up iCloud if this is the first experience for you owning an iDevice, you should register for Apple ID and set up the iCloud (Settings > iCloud). Because everything is connected through this.

3. Settle Your Homescreen Up! By getting this settled, you don’t have to go all the way to the page where your favorites of applications are located in. You may wanted to install Infinidock as it makes the bottom (dock with 4 icons) scroll to the left, so you can add unlimited icons to the dock.

4. Synchronize Everything! In iOS 5 or higher, Apple added the ability to sync everything to your iPhone, for example, if you wanted to have the captured photos from iPhone to your Mac without having to connect it to your Mac you can just use Photo Stream (this function is available for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or later) and sync them wirelessly.

Ultimately, you should know your iPhone well by exploring the net - there are many great tips and tricks! Well let me know if there are other tips as well :)
